Hello, and welcome to my Blog.

I am an Associate Professor in Wildlife Ecology at Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia.  I am really interested in how disturbance processes influence wildlife populations, and how we can use this knowledge to better manage species.  Disturbance is a broad theme, but covers human induced disturbances such as urbanisation and agricultural conversion, through to relatively natural disturbance process such as fire.  In amongst every thing I also have a keen interested in introduced species and their impacts on natural and urbanized systems.

My major research these days is a long-term project in the Grampians looking at the role of fire and climate in structuring small mammal communities.  We now have 11 years of data which is really exciting, and the lessons we are learning are really fascinating.
